🎓 YEAR 10 TRANSITION INFORMATION SESSION

As your child approaches the next stage of their educational journey, we warmly invite Year 10 parents, carers and students to join us for an important (and enjoyable) information session about what comes next.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain clarity, ask questions and feel confident about the transition into senior schooling, while also connecting with staff and other families.

⏰ 1:45pm – 2:30pm

📍 Halls Head College Education Support Centre

Topics covered will include:

• Pathways and enrolment information for 2027

(including John Tonkin College ESC and Coastal Lakes College)

• Upcoming transition visits and key dates

• Highlights of upcoming Year 10 experiences

(including the Theatre Trip and Graduation Dinner)

Important reminder:

Year 10 students are not automatically enrolled into senior Education Support Centres. While we work closely with both schools as a feeder centre, new enrolment applications are required for both John Tonkin College ESC and Coastal Lakes College. Families will be guided through this process during the session.

Light refreshments will be available and our Business Enterprise stalls will also be on display.

A reminder that our Community Connect Autumn Extravaganza is taking place very soon.

📍 Halls Head College Education Support Centre

We’re looking forward to welcoming students, families and the wider community for an afternoon of connection, activities and community engagement featuring:

• community stalls

• activity zones

• silent disco

• photo booth

• sausage sizzle

• emergency services displays

• raffles and more

Families are encouraged to bring along their raffle tickets on the day. These are going home with students this weekend! KEEP THEM SAFE!

These days provide staff with dedicated time to meet with parents and carers, complete student reporting and undertake essential planning activities that support teacher workload and student learning.

As no student programs will be running on these days, we kindly ask families to make alternative care arrangements where required.
